QUOTE:The Language Passport provides an overview of your foreign-language skills for yourself and others. It shows:
which languages you are familiar with; to which European levels (A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2) your knowledge of other languages corresponds, whereby the activities of Listening, Reading, Spoken interaction, Spoken production and Writing are each taken into account separately. It includes what language learning and inter-cultural experiences you have had inside and outside school or training (for example, how much time you have spent in countries where other languages are spoken, or with which languages you have dealt with in educational, private or professional contexts); which language diplomas or certificates you have been awarded and to which European levels (A1 to C2) they correspond.
In the (blue) Language Passport folder you can also collect and present attestations for language learning experiences as well as language diplomas and certificates. In addition, you may wish to provide supplementary background information on your certificates and diplomas in order to make clear what skills and levels they represent. The ELP provides detailed instructions on how to fill in the Language Passport and how to collect diplomas and attestations. The ELP also contains a number of forms and worksheets that help you to fill in the Language Passport and to collect attestations and information on your language knowledge and inter-cultural experiences.
